WELCOME to my web page.

I am a semi-retired engineer, a technical kind of guy.

I conserve global resources in a small way by fixing fine old things, thereby diverting a tiny part of our wastestream. I save things that should be saved. Useful things. Well made things. Things that were designed for longevity, not like many of today's things designed to be disposable.

These days, I am most often occupied with the restoration of fine older electronic equipment from the likes of Tektronix or Hewlett Packard. I also have several ongoing projects with renewable energy themes. Or, sometimes I can be found just helping my neighbours and family with their technical issues.

I also provide professional technical support to a number of demanding clients, mostly related to video editing or animation systems. I follow my interests, when I can, in and around the beautiful Niagara Escarpment area here in southern Ontario, Canada.

I trade on Ebay with user ID ffwdm.
